Statewide. Mississippi. One Team.
We believe there’s nothing more valuable than someone’s trust. And earning someone’s trust begins with understanding what they’re going through. Lending a hand and helping out where you can.
When it comes to our community, our members, and our state, we are one team. We band together to work towards common goals, share in our success, and do everything we can to show up and support our team.
As a member of Statewide, you’re a part of our team, and we’re glad to have you.
Our Roots Run Deep.
Statewide was founded by Bob Ashley in 1949 as the Jackson USDA Federal Credit Union. Originally volunteer run, it originally served USDA employees in Mississippi. Demand grew among USDA employees for the great saving and borrowing opportunities the credit union provided, and Statewide quickly grew into a full-service financial institution.
In 1990, we began expanding the membership groups served by the credit union, merging with the Mississippi Educational Credit Union. Since then, six other credit unions have merged with us, and in 2000 we adopted the name Statewide to more accurately reflect the breadth of our membership.
Today, Statewide serves more than 80 membership groups and over 17,000 members. We are one of the largest credit unions in Mississippi and maintain strong financial ratings and a record of conservative, member-oriented leadership.
We’ve been planting our roots, building trust and forging relationships across Mississippi for generations. When it comes to Statewide, our members, and our state, we are one team—and always have been.
It’s more than banking. It’s a state of mind.
We know what you’re going through because we’re your neighbors. We live, bank and work here, too. We’re one team, and that’s at the heart of everything we do.
Your financial well-being is important to us. Our Certified Financial Counselors are on your team and eager to help you get your financial life back on track.
As a credit union, we serve our members, not our stakeholders. That means you enjoy better rates, lower fees, and free ATMs.
As a member, you’re also a part owner of the credit union. You can have a say in how Statewide operates, and you benefit from our earnings.
